Wounded Warrior X
This year DiscGames.org celebrates our tenth year of working with our military veterans with WOUNDED WARRIOR X. This year's events will take place in Frisco on September 19th in Frisco, Texas at Scottish Rite Disc Golf Course, and in Oak Grove Kentucky on November 14th at War Memorial Disc Golf Course.
In 2014, I spent time in Indian Mound Tennessee with my daughter and family, and itroduced her husband who was a disabled Veteran suffering from PTSD returning from active duty. He didn't like to leave the house and was very anti-social and avoided crowds, so I introduced him to the sport of disc golf because it involved limited personal contact with the "outside world" and was great for outdoor exercise!
In 2016 we invited other Wounded Warriors to join us at War Memorial Park in Oak Grove,Ky
for the first WOUNDED WARRIOR OPEN.
Sponsors
This year it is $50 to be a full sponsor for a soldier's entry and they will recieve an event
t-shirt with your name on the back under the phrase THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE as well as Tournament Disc and you receive a
t- shirt as well. You may opt to add a disc for yourself for ten dollars more. It $30 for a basic sponsor which covers the soldier only but you receive no swag. Corperate sponsorships are just $100 dollars for your logo on the back of the shirt and in the program and map
