Mission Statement
DiscGames.org was founded by amputee disc golfer Randy Mecca to help promote disc golf for its recreational and therapeutic benefits. "Disc golf was instrumental in helping me get back onto my feet after my amputation in 1984, and I wanted to pass it on" said Mecca. In 1997 he installed a 3-hole disc golf course at Texas Scottish Rites youth Fitness Park in Dallas and has helped teach literally thousands to play this lifetime sport since then. It is our goal to teach anyone who has a desire to play regardless of physical, mental, or financial challenges. Each year we participate in several sporting events for the disabled in the Southwest and host the DiscGames Fall Flying Disc Festival featuring distance and accuracy contests, wheelchair doubles, disc golf horseshoes and this year's 8th annual amputee Disc Golf Classic in October

DiscGames.org is proud to announce that we are currently in the planning stage for a new 9 hole disc golf course at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Frisco.
Disc golf has been a intrical part of the recreational therapy program at Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas since it's installation in 1997.
The new course will feature a great natural setting with alternate tee positions for different skill levels. We are reaching out to our supporters for sponsors. The cost to sponsor a basket is $500 which can be split. This includes a tee sign, sleeves, locks, cement and shared cost for benches. In addition to the 9-hole course there will also be a practice basket which has been donated by Dynamic Discs of Carrollton. Sponsors will be recognized on signage and in Grand Opening Ceremony which currently is scheduled for the fall.

The 3rd Annual DiscGames disc golf tournament benefiting the Wounded Warriors will take place on June 15th at War Memorial Park in Oak Grove Kentucky. We are returning to the hometown for Fort Campbell where every hole honors those who have fought or fallen. It is free to play for Wounded Warriors and anyone with a disability, $25 for Am's and $35 for Pros . To celebrate Father's Day there will also be a father/son doubles round for $20 per team. Great CTP Prizes.

If you would like to sponsor a wounded warrior to play in the tournament it is $25 for individuals and corporate sponsorships start at just $100. Each $25 sponsorship covers entry into the tournament and disc for the WW, and your name will appear on the back of the t-shirts players receive. Names will be listed like concert dates on a rock t-shirt. The phrase "We appreciate your service" will appear above the names. Last year we went from 40 to 81 sponsors and this year we're hoping to top a hundred.
